Uhlar, Charles “Chuck” B. of Quincy, May 22, 2004. The beloved husband of 58 years to Rosemary (Gaffney). Father of Charles J. Uhlar of Pembroke, Robert J. of Hanover, John G. of Walpole, Rosemary Remillard of Abington, Cheryl Ann Collagan of Quincy, Janet Tinney-Uhlar of Brewster, Lorraine Maloney of Plymouth, Sharon Martin and Susan Nevins both of Braintree and the late Theresa Uhlar. Brother of Edith Skiba of Ohio, Elizabeth Buckley & Theresa Kennedy both of FL and the late Gabriel & John Uhlar and Vera Skolar. Mr. Uhlar is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 3 Great Granchildren. He was the Grandfather of the late Michelle Remillard, Megan Rose Nevins and David Tinney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in St. Boniface Church, at 10am. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Mr. Uhlar was born in Pennsylvania , he graduated from West Virginia- Weslyan College in 1942. He entered into the Merchant Marines and served during W.W.II. He worked for Swift Foods as a meat packer for 15 years before taking a position with Fulton Packing Company in Boston and worked there for 20 years retiring in 1984. Mr. Uhlar also worked at the Quincy YMCA on a part – time bases from 1952 until he was 80 years of age. Donations in memory of Mr. Uhlar may be made to the Megan Rose Nevins Memorial Fund,c/o Childrens Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave.,Boston,MA 02115 or to the Old Colony Hospice, 14 Page Terrace Stoughton, MA 02072.
