Sarruda, Charles of Yarmouth, formerly of Quincy June 17, 2007. The beloved husband of Marie (Koutrouba) Sarruda of Braintree formerly of Yarmouth and former husband of the late Bertha (Morris) Father of Allan Sarruda of Weymouth, Thomas Sarruda of Florida, Cynthia Delpidio of Boston and Michael Sarruda of Hanover. Step Father of John Ampolos of California, Venita Yeragotelis & Elaine Couture both of Braintree. Brother of Mary Sikalis of Cape Cod and Bess Roby of FL and the late John & George Sarruda and Catherine Paraskos & Anna Toyias. Charles is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM. Funeral service in Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, Friday at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Mr. Sarruda may be made to St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common Street, Braintree, Mass. 02184. W.W.II United States Navy Veteran. Charles was born in Boston and lived in Braintree for many years . He and his wife Marie lived in Yarmouth for more than 25 years. Charles served in the United States Navy during W.W.II. He worked at Metropolitan Machine company in Medfield as a tool and dye maker for more than 40 years retiring back in 1984. Charles was a founding member of St. Catherines Greek Orthodox Church on Beale Street in Quincy. He was a member of AHEPA at St. George’s Church in Hyannis. Charles loved to play golf. He also enjoyed bowling. His family remembers how much he enjoyed camping, he really enjoyed the outdoors. He was a member of the American Legion post. Marie and Charles just recently moved up from Yarmouth to be closer to the family. Charles will be missed by all who and loved him. Rest in peace.
