Celia H. Eccleston

Eccleston, Celia H. (Neary) of Barrington,IL  formerly of Quincy, died May 17, 2014.  

Beloved wife of the late John V. Eccleston.  Loving mother of James “Jim” Eccleston and his wife Christine of Barrington, IL.  Cherished grandmother of John, Ray, Lindsey and Lauren Eccleston.  Sister of the late Michael, Bridie, Margaret, Mary and Nora. 

Celia was born in Ireland.  She lived in the Houghs Neck section of Quincy for many years before moving to Barrrington, IL.   She enjoyed riding her bicycle to and along  Wollaston Beach.  Celia also enjoyed bowling, Irish dancing and walks at Castle Island in South Boston.   She was an active member at the YMCA in Quincy until age 82. She also was an active member of her church, the Most Blessed Sacrament parish. Most of all Celia loved spending time with her family.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Quincy.
