Cecelia A. (Dolan) Sullivan, age 91, of Weymouth formerly of Quincy passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham.
Born, raised and educated in Quincy, Cecelia had lived in Weymouth for many years. She was a retired administrative asst. in the payroll dept. of Milham Products in Quincy and had previously worked at Sears & Roebuck, Armstrong Cork and General Dynamics. Cecelia was very active in the Immaculate Conception Parish having served as a Eucharistic Minister, a 26 year member of the choir and was also a longtime member of the St. Joseph’s Church prayer community in Quincy. She was a woman of great faith who touched many people, even up to her last day. She was devoted to her loving family and will be greatly missed.
Beloved wife of the late John L. Sullivan. Loving mother of Kathleen A. Sullivan of Randolph and Richard J. Sullivan and wife Jean M. of Weymouth. Loving sister of Arlene Page of Quincy, the late Dorothy Babbitt and the late Francis Dolan. Proud grandmother of Melissa J. Sullivan and Marybeth B. Sullivan both of Weymouth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) on Thursday from 4:00-8:00pm. Family and friends will gather in the Funeral Home on Friday morning at 9:00 am to be followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church at 10:00 and burial in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Donations in Cecelia’s memory may be made to either the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.com or the charity of your choice.
