Jenkins, Catherine V. (Belcastro) of Weymouth, passed away with her family by her side June 9, 2022. She was born and raised in Weymouth to the late Francesco and Virginia Belcastro. Beloved mother to Charlene Stapleton and James of Plymouth, Linda McDonald and Bernie of Weymouth, Gerald Lutz and Karen of Plymouth, William Lutz of Weymouth, Susan Delaney and Stephen of New Durham, Judi Jenkins of Weymouth, Michael Jenkins and Stacey of E. Bridgewater, Earl Derek Jenkins and Stacy of E. Bridgewater and the late George Lutz. Cherished Nanni of Michael, Krysta, Robert, Michael, Jason, Jerry, Jessica, Jenna, William, Eryn, Rachel, Bryan, Sarah, Ty, Brandon, Evan, Kylie, Derek and many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Eleanor Underwood Smith, brother Frank Belcastro and the late Nicodemo Belcastro, Mary Willette, Nancy Moscardelli Burke, Elizabeth Saulenas, Grace Seaver, Salvatore Belcastro, John Belcastro and Gloria Burke. She was the former wife of the late George Lutz and Earl Jenkins. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Catherine’s main passion was always her FAMILY. For those that were fortunate enough to have met and known Catherine know that she was one of the greatest! There was no one nicer, kinder, more caring, generous or compassionate. She taught her children from a very young age that hard work pays off and you get back what you put out. She made sure her children knew how to cook, clean, iron, sew, etc. and so many other valuable life skills. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and cooking, especially her famous meatballs, sauce (not gravy) and lasagna! She was a friend to all and everyone was always welcome in her home for good conversation and a hot meal. If you left Nanni’s house hungry it was your own fault! She also enjoyed gardening, listening to WBZ radio, and visits with her family. She enjoyed crocheting and making homemade gifts for her many treasured family members and friends.
She was a hard worker and held many titles over the years; she worked for John Hancock in Boston, the family business B&D Catering in Weymouth, Dunkin Donuts and Mr. Donut in Weymouth, South Shore Hospital in Weymouth and Stop and Shop in Braintree for over 25 years until she retired at the age of 89.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Route 18, opposite from South Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth.
