Catherine T. ‘Kay’ Horack

Horack, (Delaney) Catherine T. “Kay” of Hull, formerly of Wellesley, passed away peacefully August 10, 2011. Beloved wife of 63 years to John M. Horack Jr. Loving mother of Margaret C. Jones and her husband, Kenneth, of Durham, NH, John M. Horack III of Attleboro, Thomas J. Horack and his wife, Susan of Belmont, Robert M. Horacek of Salem, and Edward A. Horack and his wife, Elisa of Stratham, NH. Cherished Grandmother of Matthew, Lauren, Cameron, Christopher and Brendan. Sister of Frederick J. Delaney of Shrewsbury and the late William X. Delaney, Jeanne M. Clancy, and Barbara Whitmer. Sister-in-law of Irene M. Merrill of Falmouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kay was born in Cambridge and had lived in Wellesley for 19 years before moving to Hull in 1977. She was a homemaker, but took much enjoyment with her hours of volunteering at the Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick as well as South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. In her spare time, she loved refinishing furniture and also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull. Burial will follow at the Belmont Cemetery. Following the burial, the family would like to invite friends to a reception at their home in Hull at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kay may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
