Catherine T. “Kay” (Curran) Cleary of Wollaston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, June 2, 2016.
Beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Cleary (Ret. BPD). Loving mother of Lawrence J. Cleary and his wife Laura of Abington, Michael F. Cleary and his wife Sarah of WA, Timothy J. Cleary of Quincy, Kathleen T. Andrew and her husband Paul of Braintree, Anne M. Knox and her husband James of Pembroke, Eileen P. McKenzie and her husband John of Franklin and Thomas A. Cleary of Weymouth. Dear sister of Helen Mahan of Springfield, James Curran of Reading, Richard Curran of Hyde Park and the late Andrew Curran, Jeanette Ginnetty, Mary Sinnott, Margaret Henri, John Curran, Anita Ceven, Gertrude O’Toole and Brendan Curran. Kay is also lovingly survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Kay worked for the City of Boston and retired with many years of service as a secretary for the Boston School Committee. She was a proud member of the Marianne’s at St. Ann’s Church in Quincy. Kay loved baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. At the family’s request, Kay’s burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay’s memory to Norwell VNA Hospice, 120 Longwater, Dr., Norwell, MA 02061.
