Catherine Mary Smith (Parsons) of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 67 years old.
The daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Parsons, Catherine was raised in Hull and graduated from Hull High School with the Class of 1973.
Catherine started her career with the telephone company/Ma Bell right out of high school, where she met many life-long friends, including the love of her life, Ed.
Once retired, Catherine and Ed spent their time traveling to various destinations; whether it was by car, plane, or cruise ship.
Catherine loved her family very much. She enjoyed getting everyone together and preparing Sunday dinner.
Two of Catherine’s greatest achievements were her children, Nikki and Keith. Which also gave her two of her greatest joys in life; her grandsons Jacob and Gavin.
Beloved wife of Edward J. Smith of Weymouth. Cherished mother of Nikki Angus Majorowski and her husband Andrew of Acushnet, Keith Angus and his wife Jessica of Raynham, Sean Smith and Ivette Jo of NY. Adoring grandmother of Jacob and Gavin. Loving sister of James Parsons and Barbara Neuhart of Florida, Sue and Bruce Baldwin of Arizona, Kenny Parsons of South Carolina, Jeanne Parsons of Hull, Jayne and Mark Haines of Arizona, Helen and Robert Noddin of South Carolina, Christine and Kenneth Morgan of Hull and the late Thomas Parsons. Catherine also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, November 2, from 4-8 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Albert the Great Church, 1140 Washington St, Weymouth, MA 02189 on Friday, November 3, at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Catherine to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at PANCAN.ORG.
