Catherine L. Brand

Brand, Catherine L. “Kay” of Weymouth, passed away January 2, 2013 at the age of 92.

Kay was born in Boston & had lived in Dorchester before moving to Weymouth 27 years ago. She retired in 1985 after 15 years as a switchboard operator for St. Margaret’s Hospital in Boston. Kay was an avid Bingo player & was also an active member of St. Kevin’s Parish while living in Dorchester.

Beloved wife of the late Owen J. Brand. Mother of Joseph brand & his companion Joan Doward of N.H., Bernard Brand & his wife Linda of Carver, Kevin Brand & his wife Kristin of Bourne, Stephen Brand & his wife Lori of Brockton & the late Catherine Lillie. Mother-in-law of Bruce Lillie of Kingston. Kay was the last of 7 siblings. Also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:30 AM Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
