Papa, Catherine E. (Falletti) of Hingham, a retired businesswoman and community volunteer, passed away March 2, 2012 after a long illness. Born in Hingham, she graduated from Hingham High School. Well known on the South Shore as “Kay”, or “Katie”, she was a member of St. Paul Parish of Hingham, the Sons of Italy, the Lions Club and later in life, lovingly served with the Cohasset “Red Hats”. During WWII, she volunteered to teach welding to the women who helped build battleships at the Hingham Shipyard. She later owned and operated laundries and dry cleaners in both Hingham and Weymouth. In retirement, her smiling face could be frequently seen greeting customers at her sons’ Plymouth restaurant, “the Inn for All Seasons”. Beloved wife of the late Emidio A. Papa, she is survived by three sons, Ronald A. Papa of Hull, Mark C. Papa, of Sarasota, FL, and Robin S. Papa of Plymouth.; three sisters Rosemary Bonasolli of Hull, Judy DelMonico of Hingham, Betty Webb of Florida; a brother, Lou Falletti of Weymouth; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, March 9, from 4-7 p.m in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 10, in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472
