Catherine E. Howes

Mrs. Catherine E. ‘Bonna” (Smith)  Howes,  of Weymouth and Plymouth, died September 6, 2015., surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Weymouth, she was a graduate of Catherine Gibbs School in Boston. She worked in her earlier years for Community Opticians in Boston and most of her career as a Photographer Assistant for Boyer Portraits in Weymouth. Her greatest joy in life was her days on White Horse Beach surrounded by her family and wonderful friends. She brought so much happiness and joy to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be dearly missed by all. Her strong faith showed through in the way she lived her life. She was also an active member of Bethany Congregational Church in Quincy, and will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Beloved wife of the late Richard S. Howes. Loving mother of Catherine Paccioretti and her husband, Joseph, of Quincy, Carol Harding and her husband, Rev. William Harding of Norwell, Robert Howes and his wife, Karen, of Plymouth, William Howes of Plymouth, and the late Richard Howes. Sister of Leo Smith of Georgia, and the late Robert Smith. Grandmother of Dr. William Harding, Kaylah Howes, Ashley Fermin, Jessica Howes, Zachary Howes and Sean Howes.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in Bethany Congregational Church, 18 Spear Street, Quincy, MA 02169. Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Department of Nursing, @ Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth or to Bethany Congregational Church.
