Crowley, Catherine B. (Shockroo), age 101 of Quincy died April 12, 2008. Wife of the late Harold S. Crowley, Sr. Loving mother of Harold S. Crowley, Jr. of Quincy, Ann C. & husband Stefan Schwarz of Plymouth, Daniel J. Crowley of Braintree & FL, and the late George E. Crowley. Sister of the late Mary Paquin, Harry Shockroo, Florence MacDonald, James Shockroo, and Betty Flynn. Cherished Nana of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Catherine was raised and educated in Attleboro and a graduate of Attleboro High School Class of 1925. She married Harold S. Crowley of Bristol, RI in 1936. She has been a resident of Wollaston for the past 65 years. Mrs. Crowley was employed for several years as a bookkeeper at the Attleboro Auto Company in Attleboro and later at St. Angelo’s Auto in Barrington, RI. She later was employed as a bookkeeper at Pneumatic Scale Corp. and the Howard Johnson’s Company in Quincy. She was active for many years with her children in the Boy and Girl Scouts in Quincy and a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Wollaston. She and her husband enjoyed camping with the South Shore Chapter of NAFCA. She also enjoyed crafts and crocheting and had an active social life in both Quincy & Florida. Following her husband’s retirement in 1973, they spent winters in Daytona Beach and Port Richey, FL. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. QUINCY, Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mrs. Crowley may be made to Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation, 14 Pond Lane, Randolph, MA 02368 or Charity of your choice.
