Carolynn Jones

It is with sad news to announce that Carolynn Jones, formerly of East Boston, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. She was 79 years old. 

Carolynn was born in Boston to mother, Gussie, and father, Moses Kritzman, in August of 1943. She grew up in the towns of Roxbury and Dorchester surrounded by a large family. She was a graduate of Roslindale High School in 1961, where she was an amazing athlete. She played softball and basketball, and even won a city championship. 

As a person, Carolynn was very strong, loving, caring, and compassionate, and was always reliable and ready to help all that she could. If you put her in any social setting and she could seamlessly make friends with anyone and everyone. She was also a very strong, supportive mom for her son Michael. She sacrificed everything to always make sure he was first and okay. The motherly role was not just for him exclusively. She was the same person to all that she knew. Always there to lend a compassionate ear at any time day or night. As the saying goes: “She was one of the good ones.” She is irreplaceable and her loss leaves a tremendous void in the world. She will be sorely missed. 

Loving mother to Michael Jones of Quincy.  Predeceased by her parents: Gussie (Salkovitz) and Moses Kritzman and her sister Shirley A. Feeney.
