Chase, Carolyn H. (Hackett) of Weymouth, died November 30, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of Leslie E. Chase. Loving mother of Brian Chase of Weymouth, David Chase and his wife, Yvonne, of Weymouth, and Dorothy Chase- Bausemer and her husband, Christopher, of Weymouth and Virginia. Sister of Paul Hackett of Virginia, and Natalie Hackett of Weymouth. Cherished Grammy to Marisol, Nicholas, Catherine, Antonio, Sierra, and Gabrielle. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was a regular attendee at youth events, following her children and grandchildren through soccer, baseball, swimming and sailing, music, dance and drama. A 1960 Weymouth High School graduate, she was an avid athlete and played the accordion. After graduating from Bridgewater State College in 1964, she was a math and science educator in Kings Park Long Island and then a long term substitute math teacher and math and science educator in the Weymouth Public Schools, under the leadership of her favorite principal Edward “Buzzy” Knight. A Life member of Wessagussett Yacht Club, the Weymouth Heights Club, and a lifelong resident of Weymouth.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 2, 598 North Street, Weymouth, MA, 02189
