Carolyn B. Silk

Carolyn B. Silk (Burgess) of Weymouth, died March 28, 2015 at the age of 74.

Carolyn worked as a Nurse Practitioner and administrator at many healthcare facilities in the Boston area. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of ‘58; New England Deaconess School of Nursing, Class of ‘61 and earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1963.

She was the beloved life partner of James Edward Washington, Jr. of Weymouth. Loving mother of Jonathan Silk  and wife Staci of West Point, NY, Andrea Silk  and fiance Paul Mickiewicz of Montclair, NJ, Stephanie Silk Says of Montclair, NJ, Lisa Washington-Brown and husband Richard of Bridgewater, Denise A. Washington of Milton, and Scott J. Palmer and wife Keri of Providence, RI. Sister of Judith Ann Hall and husband Walter R. Hall, Jr. of Norwell. Grandmother of Jonathan, Jr., Tankey, Jackson, Kiah, Maysen, Nadeem, Imane, Khari, Layla, Aponi and Simmone. Aunt of Angela Balmes and Jonathan Hall and Kimberly and Timothy Silk. Cousin of Linda Young of Waltham.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 1-3:30 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.) followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3:30 PM.
