Asha, Carol R. (McBride) of Quincy, formerly of Weymouth, January 3, 2010. Beloved mother of Linda J. Massey of Dorchester, Kristina DeCesare of PA and Scott Massey of Quincy. Step-daughter of Agnes McBride of CA. Cherished “Nana” to Christopher Jr., Caden, Kaia and Chase. Loving sister of Kent McBride, M.D of GA, James Yates and Janet DeMatteo, both of CA. Also survived by “Mr. Frog.” Carol enjoyed helping people and loved her animals. She was a medical lab technician at Milton Hospital for 12 years and then at Boston IVF for 3 years. She was passionate about her involvement with ALS and was the featured speaker in 2008 at the “Say it with Flowers” event, held by the Boston Red Sox wives. A Reiki Master, she belonged to Braintree Open Doors, an energy and healing center. Carol moderated the 11:11 Angel Board, a spiritual support group on the internet. She was also a singer and belly dancer who performed at several church shows and weddings. Carol lived in the moment, was energetic and had a wonderful sense of humor. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. Funeral Service will be held at Bethany Congregational Church, 18 Spear St., Quincy on Friday at 10:30 AM. Cremation to follow.
