Carol (Powers) Morris, 85 of Hull & Hingham passed quietly on February 12th after a long and happy life.

Carol was raised in Hingham and Lynn and was a graduate of Hingham HS, Class of 47. She raised her family in both Hingham and Hull. She was a musician, knitter, den mother, keeper of family recipes, lover of card and board games, and a skier. Her secret passion was creating events to be with family. She shared her musical talents with her boys who were John Philip Sousa award winners as were two of her grandchildren. She was a huge supporter of the Hull High School music program and the Hull Marching Pirates.

Carol was known for her sense of humor, a ready smile and a kind word for everyone. She was an active member of the Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club and found great pleasure in her garden. She was employed at Hingham Business Machine and retired from the Quincy Visiting Nurses and volunteered at the Hull Senior Center. Carol was an avid traveler both at home and abroad. Her most treasured journeys were her two trips to Ireland.   

She is survived by her loving partner William Joubert, her children Jim and his wife Celine, Carol Ann and her partner Gail, Dick and his partner Janice, Kevin and his wife Julie and her sister Roberta L. McGrath.  She was predeceased by her parents John and Charlotte (Karrer) Powers, her former husband Robert Morris, her son Steven , her great granddaughter Maggie as well as her siblings Charlotte Ann, Mary Louise, Helen Gertrude, Joan Rita, John Joseph Jr., Robert Michael, Richard Frederick and Catherine Teresa.  Carol was surrounded and loved by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-8pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (Off Central St.) HINGHAM. A Celebration of LIfe service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday morning at 11am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Hull on Thursday at 12 Noon. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory or Carol may be made to the Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club, 3 Fitzpatrick Way, Hull, MA 02045.
