Carol Dunn, a longtime resident of Milton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was 88.
She was born in Quincy to Marion (McNulty) and John Rudderham and raised in the Wollaston neighborhood of Quincy. She graduated from Quincy High School and worked in banking for a few years before starting a family. When she was in high school, she sang in the St. Ann’s choir, where she met Martin Dunn, the love of her life and best friend. They dated throughout high school and married after he finished school.
Carol’s life was centered around family. Her husband and two daughters were her best friends. She loved antiquing and had a talent for interior design that she inherited from her mom. Carol was adorable and had an approachable warmth that made her very easy to talk to. She will be dearly missed by those that knew her.
Beloved wife of 67 years to Dr. Martin Dunn of Milton. Devoted mother to Tracy Dunn of Millis and Alexandra Dunn of Attleboro.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Wednesday November 6th, from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation and prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Mrs. Carol J. & Dr. Martin J. Dunn '53 Global Foundations Scholarship, Boston College High School, 150 Morrissey Blvd, Boston, MA 02125.
