Carol Ann Holland

Carol Ann Holland of Reading, MA and formerly of Quincy and Dorchester was born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts on December 15, 1943. Carol entered heavens gates on July 5, 2023, surrounded by her three sons.

Carol worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston from High School until she took an early retirement in 2004. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling to see her siblings. She was involved at the Senior Center in Reading, and enjoyed taking day trips with her friends she met while there during that time. Carol and her husband were involved with the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps over the past 38 years. They took pride in traveling with the group during the summers to volunteer and to be with their sons who were members. She was especially proud of the fact that her sons continue to be active with the organization and enjoyed attending the World Championships in Indianapolis, IN over the past few years.

Carol is predeceased by her husband Robert P Holland; her parents; Kenneth Porter Bissett and Catherine Teresa Bissett as well as her brother Russell Willett Bissett and sister Catherine Teresa Clark.

Carol is survived by her three sons and their spouses: Robert (Kim) Holland of Jamestown, RI, Christopher (Darlene) Holland of Reading, MA, and Patrick (Julee) Holland of Warwick, RI.  She is also survived by her nine grandchildren:  Edward Holland of Fall River, MA, Alicia and Stephanie Holland of Jamestown, RI, Owen, Addeline and Nolan Holland of Reading, MA, Taylor Holland, of Southington, CT, and Ava and Caleb Holland of Warwick, RI.

Carol was blessed by many loving siblings; Kenneth (Norma) Bissett of Wheaton, Il, George (Kate) Bissett of Virginia Beach, VA, James (Sandy) Bissett of Wareham, MA, Marie Lupton of Overland Park, KS, Patricia (Robert) Zapustas of Randolph, MA. Her sister-in-law, Marsh Bissett of SC, and brother-in-law, John Clark, Jr of FL. She enjoyed longstanding, loving relationships with her in-laws, the Holland family. And her many nieces and nephews brought her great joy.
