Stokes, Carol A. (Pettograsso) of Milton, formerly of Weymouth died April 29, 2022

Devoted wife of Marie Rapazzini of Milton, where the couple resided for 25 years.  Loving mother to Terri Krall and her partner Paul of Quincy, Patricia Osborne and her husband John of Carver, William Stokes of Fla, and the late David Stokes and his wife Leslee of Weymouth.  Nana to Derek, Erin and husband Brandon, Sean and wife Amanda and Jarrod, Dustin, and Aaron.  GG to Colton, Mia, Savannah and Talia.  She also leaves behind many beloved and dear friends.

Carol’s family and friends were the center of her life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed getting others to laugh.  She was also kind and thoughtful and had a special way of making others feel appreciated.  She was known to bring fun and spirit wherever she went and was loved and appreciated by many as a very “unique character”.

She was very active throughout most of her life and enjoyed playing several sports, especially Women’s Softball ( She was affectionally known as “Boomer” by her teammates).  She was a great cook and loved creating special events and holidays for her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by many.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.  Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
