Carol A. Desmond

Desmond, Carol A. of Braintree, formerly of Wollaston, age 65. Beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend, passed away with her family by her side on August 14, 2009, after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Gerald (Jay) and Kathleen (Kay) Desmond of Wollaston; Loving sister of Gerald Desmond and Paul Desmond of Braintree and Kathleen Cashin and her husband Edward (Larry) of Pembroke. Carol will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephew, Jennifer Ryan, Michael Cashin, Kristen Cashin and Jessica Cashin as well as several great-nieces. A graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and Emmanuel College, Carol was a dedicated social worker for the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance for 40 years. Her generosity with her time, talents and love will forever be remembered by those who love her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
