Carol A. Barrett

Carol A. Barrett, of Weymouth, MA, died on April 4th, 2023. Carol was the beloved wife of Thomas P. Barrett and the loving mother of Lorraine Collins, Patricia Healey (Ken), Carolyn Cotter (Todd), Janice Neenan, and Thomas W. Barrett (Tracey). She was the sister to Robert (Margaret) and John Hamilton (Leslie) and was predeceased by her sisters, Lorraine Hamilton, and Susan Jannino.

Carol was a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren, Ashley, Kelly, Daniel, Kaitlin, Matthew, Christopher, Ryan, and Liam; as well as her furry grandchildren Claude, Gus, Sully, and Larry. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, enjoying many cape vacations and supporting them at their numerous sporting events. Carol was married to the love of her life, Tom, for almost sixty years, and during their retirement enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland with their close family friends.

Carol is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved cousin, Patti Keefe. We will always have fond memories of the joyful holidays and family events shared with her and she will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Carol’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 9-10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
