Ciampa, Carmela (Addivinola) of Quincy, formerly of Weymouth, died on Saturday, August 7, 2010, she was 95 years old. The beloved wife of the late Joseph Ciampa. Loving mother of Annette and her husband Romolo Marcotullio of Quincy and Gerard Ciampa and his wife Betty Jean of AZ. Sister of Frank Addivinola of Maryland, Gerard Addivinola and Jean Dello Russo both of East Boston and the late Lawrence & Joseph Addivinola and Yolanda Bocchini. Cherished Grandmother of Renee Lazarz, Laura Mazzulli and Cheryl Sutherland. Devoted Great Grandmother of Gina, Alex, Olivia, Victoria and Billy. Born in Boston, Carmela was raised in East Boston in a close Italian family. She married her late husband Joseph and raised her two children. A devoted mother and a devout catholic , Carmela worked for the Gillette Company in South Boston for many years. She was a member of the Third Order Society of St. Francis of Assisi. Her life was her vocation to ministry work. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Carmela’s true love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family. She will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday morning from 9 – 10:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15AM on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 11 AM. Burial in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carmela may be made to Sacred Heart Church ,386 Hancock St., North Quincy, MA 02171.
