Carl was born in Quincy and remained there as a lifelong resident. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1960-1963. After his time in the service Carl worked at the U.S. Postal for 34 years, retiring in 1998 as the Vice President of the Letter Carrier’s Union. In addition, Carl could often be seen on his local tv show Conversations with Gus, where he was able to keep involved in many political races, interviewing candidates over the years and showing his passion for being a Democrat. Aside from the community, Carl was also an active grandfather and he thoroughly enjoyed attending all of the various sporting events that his grandchildren participated in and taking pictures of his loving family every chance he got. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15AM on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Service in Quincy Point Congregational Church at 9am.
