Carl F. Hagopian

Hagopian, Carl F. of South Weymouth, formerly of Hingham, passed away on October 3, 2013 after a lengthy illness.

Born and raised in Malden, he was the son of the late Helen (O’Neill) and Jacob Hagopian. Loving husband of Patricia (Lipnick) Hagopian, he is survived by a daughter, Lee Cosentino and her husband Eric, a son, Eric Hagopian and his wife Casey, and a devoted sister Patricia Kelleher and her husband Stephen. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas Cosentino, Caelan, and twins Cade and Declan Hagopian. Dear brother of the late Donald Hagopian and Helen Hagopian.

Carl had a full career as a reserve Army Officer, having served in the MA National Guard and was a graduate of Mass Military Academy, U.S. Army Missile School in Fort Bliss, TX, and the school of Engineering at Fort Belvoir, VA. He was also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command  and General Staff School. Carl was assigned to a nationwide study by the Office of Secretary of Defense to increase training and readiness of the reserved and active army units. He retired after 33 1/2 years service with the rank of Lt. Colonel. Carl worked in many areas of the real estate business, beginning his real estate career as a broker with Jack Conway and Co. He was the principal and owner of Accord Realty Associates and Old Forge Builders, Inc. Carl served terms as President of Plymouth County MLS and Vice President of Plymouth County Board of Realtors. Carl was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis and a lifetime member of the DAV.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at Noon in the funeral home. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
