Candida Barbuto

Barbuto, Candida of Hingham, died September 14, 2018.

Beloved wife of 55 years to Joseph Barbuto of Hingham.  Loving mother of Anthony Barbuto and his wife Antoniette of Hingham, Mary Barbuto of Rockland, Joe Barbuto and his wife Erica of Marshfield, Amy Barbuto of Marshfield, Cristina Barbuto of Hingham and the late Robert V. Barbuto.  Devoted Nana of Robert, Joseph, Jessica and her husband Blake, Jared, Felicia, Tyler and Jake.  Adored great Nana of London.  Candida was 1 of nine children of the late Vito and Maria Politano.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Candida worked for the Town of Hingham for 20 years as a cafeteria worker at the Hingham High School, where she was loved by all the students she served.  Candida enjoyed sewing, making wreaths and crafting, listening to Italian music and taking trips to the casino.  Candida looked forward to coffee time with the girls and spending time with her friends.  Her main passion in life was her family, she cherished cooking for Sunday dinners and family gatherings.  Candida will be remembered for her loving and passionate personality.  She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 9-11 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11:30 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
