C. Richard “Dick” Cobban

Cobban, C. Richard “Dick” of Quincy, died January 13, 2014.

Dick was most proud of his family and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren at all of their activities.  An avid sports fan, Dick followed the Red Sox, Bruins, high school and college sporting teams.  He worked as a lineman for Verizon and retired after many years of service.  Dick was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish, a member of Squantum Yacht Club and member of IBEW Local #2222.  He was a 1956 graduate of North Quincy High School.  Dick was a kind, soft-spoken and mild mannered gentleman whose humble traits endeared him to many. 

Beloved husband of the late Andrea M. (Silton) Cobban.  Loving father of Michele Cobban Barden of Swampscott and Steven Cobban of Quincy.  Loving father in law of Gary Barden.  Brother of Barbara Joyce of Yarmouth Port, and the late Frederick, John and William Cobban.  Cherished grandfather of Maggie Barden of Swampscott, Madyson Cobban of Quincy and Zachary Barden of Swampscott. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
