Bruno J. Sestito

Sestito, Bruno J. of Hingham, died suddenly July 26, 2009. Husband of the late Adelina (Molea) Sestito. Loving father of Mary Waugh & husband Eric, Dolores J. Marino & husband William, all of Hingham, Carol Sestito of Las Vegas, NV and Laura Schermerhorn & husband Kevin of So. Weymouth. Devoted grandfather of Andrea & Kristen Marino; Timothy & Kimberly Waugh; and Lisa & Tracy Schermerhorn. Brother of Mary Schiavo of Hingham, the late Paulina Sestito, and the late Rose Nardo. Bruno immigrated to Hingham from Italy in 1936 at the age of 16. He was the longtime owner of Bruno’s Tailor Shop in Hingham. For many years, he served as the treasurer of the Maria Della Luce Society in Hingham. An avid sports fan, Bruno was especially passionate for the Red Sox, rarely missing a game. Most of all, he loved holidays, big dinners, family gatherings, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham Wednesday 4-8 PM. A Life Celebration Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
