Bruce R. Oneto

Oneto, Bruce R. of Quincy, formerly of N. Weymouth, died January 20, 2017.  

Bruce was a very simple and gentle man.  He adored his family, especially his grandchildren who he loved unconditionally.  His greatest passion was fishing and maintaining his fish tanks.  He also enjoyed coin collecting, watching the Red Sox, Bruins and Pats while sitting by his fireplace. He loved “green grass”. He owned and operated B&D Painting for more than 30 years which gave him a great sense of accomplishment. He will be remembered for his honesty, kindness, compassion and love of his immediate as well as extended family “Big Daddy”.  

Beloved husband of 45 years to Jane M. (Spolidoro) Oneto of Quincy.  Loving father to David Oneto and his wife Alicia of Brockton, Kerri Hallahan of Quincy, Kristin Oneto of Quincy, and Linda Gentile of Brockton.  Cherished “Grampy” to Rebecca and Stephen Hallahan, Arianna and D.J. Oneto, Kylie and Scott Mulvey, and Bobby Cattoggio.  Nephew to his very special Aunt and Uncle, June and Stanley Moe of Quincy.  Brother-in-law to Joanne Connell, Karen Connell, Eleanor Woods and their husbands.  Uncle to Paula, Norman, Robbie, Mary, Susan, Marco, Adam, Joey, Tia and their spouses.  Also survived by his beloved dogs, Angel and Jiggs.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
