Bruce M. Mcdonald

McDonald, Bruce M. of Quincy, died July 16, 2013. 

Bruce’s passion in life was teaching and the arts.  He was an English teacher at Quincy High School for 42 years, retiring in 2002 as chairman of the department.  He loved his profession and was most proud of his student’s accomplishments over the years.  He was a voracious reader, a 30 year season ticket holder at Boston Symphony Orchestra, and had an amazing collection of movies.  His parents instilled a love of education and the arts at an early age and he graduated from Harvard College and Northeastern University.  He will be remembered for his ability to reach students, his keen sense of humor and his compassionate spirit. 

Beloved son of the late Rex E. McDonald and Arlene (Callan) McDonald.  Loving brother of Rex E. McDonald, Jr. of CA.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews, close friends, and former students. 

At Bruce’s request no services were held.
