Bruce leaves behind his sister Debra Fought of North Carolina. Bruce is survived by many friends including Michael Cain and his wife Cheryl, Carl Hoefel, Russell Sheerin and Paul Ricciardi.
Remembered by his dear friends Russell Sheerin and Paul Ricciardi shared these words…
“Bruce Edward Fought, a man for all men. He always was a truly compassionate man with a huge heart and willingness to help others! I met Bruce when he was but 6 months old and I was 1 year old. We were connected at the hip like brothers for our entire lives. I remember when Bruce was young the family went to West Virginia every summer for a gathering called “the Rebel picnic”. A reunion of sorts, before the name Rebel took on a poor connotation, for the Fought clan who were from the south. There is even a building, I believe in Huntington West Virginia, which bears his family name on it – the Fought Building! He was very proud of his southern heritage. Bruce and I kept connected even with our travels over the years. When he was with Prime Computer in San Diego, back in the day, and I was in Laguna Beach we enjoyed the California experience. When I threw a 50th birthday party for my wife Cathy he drove to our home in Toledo, Ohio to help us celebrate Cathy’s milestone birthday.”
A long time member of Milton Masonic lodge Bruce held several leadership positions including Master of his lodge two times. Bruce went on to become a 32 degree Mason . He worked with the Boston Lafayette Lodge of perfection for the remainder of his life.
He could be seen on many occasions cooking his famous ribs and cooking up fried green tomatoes for his fellow brethren. Bruce worked with and contributed to charities that became a part of his life.
Mr Fought was a great friend to many Masons in his Lodge and beyond.”
