Bridget Mary (O’Sullivan) Norris

NORRIS, Bridget Mary (O’Sullivan) known to her family and friends as “Delia”, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017 at the age of 96 at her home in Hingham, where she resided with her daughter and son in law for the past 24 years. She passed in the company of her 4 loving children.

Daughter of the late Cornelius and Catherine O’Sullivan. She was born on May 10, 1920 in Rathmore, County Kerry, Ireland. Bridget was the beloved wife of the late John Norris and the loving mother of William Norris and his wife Patricia of Quincy, John Norris and his wife Eileen of Scituate, Maria Accomando and her husband Nicholas of Hingham, and Sheila Barry and her husband Mark of Hanover. She was the devoted grandmother of her 10 grandchildren – Matthew, Katie, Sean, Jaclyn, Nicholas, Jennifer, William, Joseph, Courtney, and Caroline. She was also greatly devoted to her 16 great grandchildren and a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Bridget loved to garden and cook, which she passed down to her children and grandchildren. Most Saturdays you could find her sitting in her rocking chair by the fire listening to the Irish hit parade. Her Catholic faith and her daily rosaries for her loved ones always remained her center.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited  to attend the visitation on Saturday, January 28 in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. Hingham (Off Central St.)  from 9:30 -11:30 followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main Street, Hingham, Saturday at 12 Noon.

Burial will be private.
