Bridget O’Malley (Costello) “Bridie” of Quincy, died May 5, 2015. The beloved wife of the late Michael J. O’Malley. Cherished mother of Michael J. O’Malley and his wife Nell of OR, Mary M. O’Malley of Weymouth, Anne O. Godwin and her husband David of Reading and Patrick M. O’Malley and his wife Marie of Norton. Sister of Thomas Costello of Leeds, England and Marie Reddan of Brockton and the late Margaret “Peggy” Doherty, Coleman, Padriac, Martin, Alick, Mary, Julia and Winifred Costello. Bridie is the devoted grandmother of Michael John, Patrick Sean, Joseph Patrick, Sean Michael, Grace Catherine, John David, Luke James, Bridget Rose and Emmett. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Inverin County Galway, Ireland, she came over to the states in 1950. She married her beloved Michael and together they raised their family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who cherished her family. Bridie was a gentle soul whose kindness will always be remembered.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:15 prior to the funeral mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy Saturday at 10am.
Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bridie may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Mass Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
