Brian R. Beaton

Beaton, Brian Richard of Stuart, FL (formally of North Quincy/Boston) died November 26, 2016 after a long battle with addiction. 

Brian graduated from North Quincy High School, where he was a strong and devoted athlete. A two sport star, he played goalie and was captain for the hockey team as well as a centerfielder and captain for the baseball team. After graduation Brian was a two time all star outfielder for the Boston Park League. Brian worked as a painter for Wood Commercial Painting for many years and most recently was a commercial painter in Florida.  He had a love for animals, especially his dog and best friend Simba.  Brian was quite simply, “one of the good ones”; he had a great heart and was always there to lend a helping hand.  He was easy to like and he never let his struggle change the way he loved and treated the people he cared about.  He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Beloved son of Daniel D. and Michele (Gillis) Beaton of Quincy. Loving boyfriend of Felicia McNally of Florida.  Cherished brother of Jennifer Morrison and her husband Rick of Newton, Kristin Madden and her husband Chris of Braintree, Danny Beaton and his wife Megan of Hamilton and Lorin Beaton of Quincy.  Devoted uncle of Ella, Grace, Andrew, Ricky, Emerson, Toni, Eliza, Brady and Georgia.  Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Kerryann and Eric Wilson of Florida. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
