Brian P. Curtis

Curtis, Brian P., died March 18, 2015 after a long illness.

Brian, President and owner of Curtis Management, owned and managed commercial real estate properties throughout the South Shore.  During his career he served various organizations, including the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, where he served a term as President; the Hingham Community Center, as a member of the board; and Board of Overseers at South Shore Conservatory. He was an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church of Hingham, an active member of the Hingham Yacht Club, and a lifelong sailor. Brian obtained his BA from the University of Vermont ’72 and his MSBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in ’77.  Brian’s main passion was his family and spending time with those he loved.  He will be sadly missed.  

Beloved husband of Margaret Curtis (Gray) of Hingham. Loving father of Emily C. Pott and her husband Brian of Hingham, and Thomas W. Curtis of Boston.  Devoted son of Marjorie E. Curtis (Pearce) of FL and the late Thomas E. Curtis.  Caring brother of Elizabeth A. Curtis of NY, Dianne M. Curtis and her husband Richard D’Autilio of FL, Sarah C. Hanlon of Hingham, Jonathan P. Curtis and his wife Malinda of ME and the late Thomas E. Curtis Jr. and Kathleen M. Curtis. Brian is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, Hingham.
