Brian M. Aronoff

Aronoff, Brian M. of Marathon, Florida formerly of Quincy and Weymouth died by a boating accident on July 5, 2014, he was 49 years old.

Beloved son of the late Arnold and Phyllis Aronoff. Cherished brother of Laurie Aronoff, Dottie Aronoff, Louise Andrewzusky, Jo-Ann and her husband Michael Harper, Dennis Aronoff and Carolyn Whitney, Morgan Aronoff and his wife Kristen. Longtime companion of Cathy Brown. Devoted Uncle of Rebecca and Danielle Andrewzusky, Justin, Nathan and Benjamin Aronoff and Matthew and Samantha Harper. Brian leaves behind many dear friends in Massachusetts and the Florida Keys.

Brian was living his dream. Right out of high school, Brian joined the United States Army. After his commitment to the Army and after more than 20 years working with his father in a successful demolition business in the Boston area, he moved to Marathon Key in Florida to pursue working on the water. This was something he and his Dad talked about doing together for many years while fishing every weekend here in Boston Harbor and vacationing in the Keys every year. Brian worked for 5 years learning the charter and boat rental business. In January 2013, he started his own boat rental business. His sense of humor and always accommodating personality came through to his family, his friends, his customers and potential customers. Brian would always say when asked what he was doing, “I’m working” and he would have the biggest smile on his face as he loved what he was doing. His death was accidental, while “working” doing what he loved to do, on the water. We thank his Keys community for their friendship while he was in their care.  There, Brian was known for his great sense of humor, his story telling and anecdotes. Brian was a proud member of the NRA. He had a strong passion for boating and fishing.  Brian also enjoyed playing hockey with his buddies.  These memories will help us all keep him in our hearts. He is more than missed by his family and friends, but we will always have great memories to hold on to. Love always, Rest in Peace.
