Brian F. Stedman Sr.

Stedman, Brian F., Sr. of Braintree, died December 7, 2021, surrounded by his children.

Brian was born in Boston and grew up in South Boston graduating from Gate of Heaven High School. A United States Navy Veteran, Brian served his country during the Vietnam Era.  He was a proud member of IUEC Local 4.  Brian could fix or build just about anything, and was known for his dependability, loyalty, and great sense of humor.  He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, exploring Boston Harbor Islands, fishing, going to the beach and taking photographs.  Brian’s main passion in life was his family and spending time with those he loved.  He was a devoted husband who lovingly cared for his wife. Brian will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Beloved husband of 51 years to the late Mary M. Stedman (Kenneally).  Loving father of Brian Stedman Jr. of Weymouth, Janet Stedman of Weymouth, John Stedman and his wife Sharyn of Norton and the late Michael Stedman. Devoted Grandpa of Thomas and Amanda Stedman.  Cherished son of the late George and Agnes (Manning) Stedman.  Caring brother of Maureen McNeil and her husband James of Quincy, Paula Dailey and her husband Leo of Braintree, the late George Stedman and his late wife Patricia, and the late Richard Stedman and his wife Kathy.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
