Brian M. Cronin of Scituate passed away suddenly on Friday, January 17, 2025 at the age of 61. Born in Hartford, CT to the late Arthur and Noreen Cronin, Brian was raised in Hingham, a town he truly loved all his life. He graduated from Hingham High School where he excelled at baseball and football. Brian attended Roger Williams University, and played for the college’s baseball team. After graduation, Brian dedicated himself to his sales career where he developed a strong mutual respect with his customers and colleagues.

Brian was the devoted husband of Susan Cronin (Pidgeon), with whom he shared over 33 years of marriage. Susan was his wife, his lifelong partner and his best friend. He is also survived by his brother Arthur and his wife Judith of Beverly. Loving brother in law of William (Margaret), Michael (Mary) Pidgeon and predeceased by Patricia (Mark) Thompson and John Pidgeon. Brian was the loving uncle to Elizabeth Hannan and Michael Cronin (both of Beverly, MA); John, Patrick, Molly and Katie Pidgeon (all of Buffalo, NY), Sean Thompson of Colorado and Andrew Pidgeon of Florida.

Brian cherished his beloved family dogs Captain, Bumper and Murphy. Their bond was truly special and brought him great joy.

Brian and Susan settled in Scituate where he enjoyed the love of so many friends and was a proud member of Hatherly Country Club, and was a true fan of all Boston sports.

Brian treasured the special people in his life and offered any act of kindness that he could. He was always interested in meeting new friends and building relationships. He had a special gift of sharing a great story so people could laugh, smile and enjoy life. If you had the honor to know Brian for one minute, one hour, for years or for a lifetime, you loved and appreciated him for the impact he had on your life.

 Maya Angelou’s quote summarizes Brian’s impact on our lives:

 “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Brian’s Funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Church, Hingham, 147 North St. Hingham, MA at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 1st. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation in the memory of Brian M. Cronin can be made to a charity close to your heart.
