Stone, Brenda M. (O’Neill) of Weymouth, died April 2, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 48.
Brenda was a lifelong resident of Weymouth. She worked for South Shore Bank in Weymouth for 20 years. Brenda was proud of her active participation in many charities and fundraisers, including but not limited to, Cardinal Cushing Charities and the Hospice Walk. She became the matriarch of the family after the passing of her mother, maintaining the strong bonds of her family. More recently she could be found reading, enjoying the beach or spending time with her granddaughter. She will be remembered as a loving and supportive woman.
Devoted mother of Shauna Casey and her wife Tara Egan of Weymouth, Daniel Stone and his companion Casey Daummey of Holbrook and Devon Stone of Weymouth. Beloved daughter of Joseph O’Neill of Weymouth and the late Mary (Crozier) O’Neill. Cherished “Nana” of Kaelyn Stone. Loving sister of Joseph O’Neill of Weymouth, James O’Neill and wife Laurie of Rockland, Kathleen Sweezey of Weymouth and Robert O’Neill and wife Danielle of Rockland. Lifelong best friend of Robin Sargent of Milford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather directly in St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St., Weymouth for the Funeral Mass Monday at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
