Blanche C. Szymanczyk

Szymanczyk, Blanche C. (Geniusz) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died January 9, 2016. 

Blanche’s life revolved around her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She had worked at the South Postal Annex in South Boston for over 25 years and developed many close friendships in that timeframe.  In her youth and early adult years Blanche was an active member in the choir at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Dorchester.  She also belonged to the church Guild which produced many plays, concerts and social events.  She will be remembered for her sense of humor, love of animals, and her enjoyment at special family events. 

Beloved wife of the late Mitchell J.  Loving mother of  Julianna S. of Rockland, Christine Perry and her husband John of Woburn, Susan Diggin and her late husband James of Quincy, Paula S. of Hull, Kathleen S. of Shrewsbury, and Michele S. and her husband Peter Louzan of Quincy.  Sister of Edna Fabian of Bridgewater and the late Jean Boc, Mary Kolacz, and Walter Geniusz.  Babci to Brian Perry and his wife Nori, Christine Crosby and her husband Arthur, Shamus Diggin, Mitchell Baker, Carolyn Baker, and Jake & Tess Louzan.  Big Babci to Aidan, Quinlan, Roan, Audrey, Greyson, Truman and Valen.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Dorchester at 10:30 AM.  Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
