Beverly F. Herman

Herman, Beverly F. (Williams) of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2016.

Beverly was a cherished mother and loving grandmother who devoted much of her life to her children, grandchildren and all of those she loved. She was an avid picture taker and gardner, and combined her favorite hobbies with a fondness for photographing flowers. Beverly was a talented knitter, and often shared beautiful baby sweaters and blankets with family and friends. Beverly also knitted hats for her treasured friends at the Dana-Farber Community Cancer Care (DFCCC) center in Weymouth where she was an active member of the Cancer Crusaders, a support group she held dear to her heart. Beverly was the third member of a 40-year friendship who lovingly referred to their gatherings as “Club”. Beverly often enjoyed long drives, and she loved to sit by the ocean for hours. Beverly was especially good at celebrating all of life’s happy moments, such as birthdays and holidays, which she had a knack for making special.

Beverly was born in Boston, and graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School in South Boston. Beverly married her true love in December of 1968 and they raised four children together in Quincy, MA. Beverly went on to complete an Associate Degree at Quincy College and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her husband and children could not have been more proud.

Beloved wife of the late Edward R. Herman. Cherished mother of Robert Herman and his wife Alisa of Quincy, Michael Herman and his wife Kimberly of Pittsfield, Christine Herman and her husband Eric Sindlinger of Weymouth, and the late Edward C. Herman and his wife Carolyn of Apopka, FL. Loving cousin (or “sister” as they often referred to each other) to Pat Gemelli of Seattle, WA. Survived by her brother John Williams of Weymouth. Devoted “Grammi” of Ethan, Olivia, Sophie, Annie, Eddie, and Joseph. Best friend to an adoring black lab named Cupcake.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
