Betty Ruth Jones

Jones, Betty Ruth (White) of Peabody, formerly of Natick and Framingham, passed in peace December 10, 2014. 

Betty’s family was the focal point of her life.  Her daughter Connie, who she adopted at two weeks old, gave her much happiness as well as her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a lady who was always willing to help those in need and gave freely of her time and talents.  She helped to raise her daughter’s friend Hubertine Silcott, who lived with the family for many years. She also raised her partners children; Toi, Tonya, Alfred, Cynthia and Cathy Harrison, along with their offspring who called her Nana BJ.  Grandma Shaq loved all her babies.  Betty was part of the original Kight Family from Belle Glade Florida and remained in close contact with her entire family.  She especially enjoyed her visits to Delaware to be with her sisters.  She liked BINGO, playing cards and travel.  Betty will be remembered as a bright, giving, protective and loving lady who loved people. 

Beloved wife of the late Samuel Jones.  Loving mother of Consetter Pabon Green and her fiance Antoinette Quilan of Quincy.  Sister of Shirley Barnes, Marian Barnes, both of Delaware, and the late Mercedes Cephas.  Grandmother of Lerquisha Jones, Charlia Jones, Louis Pabon, and Emmanuel Pabon. Great grandmother of Jaichaun, Jaideon, Tempest, Louis, Khalil, Makaid, Fatima, and Jailiyah.Also survived by two nieces, two nephews, many great nieces and great nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday from 1-2 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A funeral service will follow on Saturday at 2 PM.
