LaPointe, Bertrand G. of Quincy, passed away December 31, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Nestor). Loving father of Ronald LaPointe and his wife, Rozlyn, of New Hampshire, Walter LaPointe and his wife, Ellie, of Florida, Deborah Thibeault and her husband, Will, of New Hampshire, Edmund LaPointe and his wife, Ann-Marie, of Quincy, Kevin LaPointe and his wife, Claire, of New Hampshire, Teresa White and her husband, John, of Plymouth, Mark LaPointe and his wife, Cathy, of Taunton, and Matthew LaPointe and his husband, Coleman, of Pembroke. Brother of Lawrence LaPointe of New Hampshire, Joseph LaPointe of Mashpee, Yvette Gornault of Connecticut, Norman LaPointe of Maine, and the late Minette Purpora, Rene and Marcell LaPointe. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Lewiston, Maine, he had lived in New Hampshire before moving to Quincy in 1967. Until his retirement, Bertrand was a Health Inspector for the City of Quincy. He was also a former co- owner of Melwoods Restaurant in Braintree, and in his spare time he enjoyed, hunting and fishing. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675.
