Bertha L. “Bea” (Pryor) Ash of Quincy, died December 25, 2017.
Bea was born and raised in South Boston and lived in Quincy for over 40 years. She was fiercely devoted to her family. Her decisions were always made with them in mind and was happiest when surrounded by them. She will be dearly missed.
Beloved wife of the late Frederick C. Ash. Devoted mother of Jean M. Munn and her husband Glen of FL, Kathleen Pascarelli and her husband Patrick of Hanover, James M. Ash and his wife Roseanne of Abington and the late Frederick C. Ash, Jr. and his late wife Debbie. Loving sister of Elizabeth “Dot” Durgin of Rockland, Paul Pryor of Stoughton, the late William, John and Joseph Pryor, Marie Joyce and Patricia Quirk. Cherished Nana of 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, especially her niece Joanne Ash to whom she was very close.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bertha may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 or American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
