Bernard M. Douglas

Douglas, Bernard M. of Weymouth, formerly Hanson and Dorchester, died April 2, 2022. 

Bernard loved his family especially his four grandchildren.  He enjoyed tinkering with electronics and enjoyed all new technological inventions.  He was an 1957 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and was an Economics major at UMass Boston.  He was a longtime treasurer of the Whitman-Hanson School Committee.  Bernard will be remembered for his soft spoken demeanor, keen sense of humor and his kindness towards others. 

Loving father of Michael B. Douglas of Weymouth and Jane Crone and her husband Eric of Kingston.  Former husband of Catherine Coakley.  Brother of the late Mary, Thomas, and Francis Douglas.  Cherished Grandpa to Alex, Melissa, Aidan and Ben.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
