Budreau, Beatrice M. “Betty” (Preble) of Quincy, formerly of Winthrop and Everett, age 85 died September 4, 2006 peacefully at home with her family after a prolonged illness. Daughter of the late Herbert and Beatrice Preble. Beloved wife of the late Charles J. Budreau. Cherished mother of Edward Budreau and his wife Diane Mathieson of Quincy, Leanne and her husband Robert London of NYC, Thomas Budreau of NH, and Charles L. Budreau of Quincy. Greatly loved by her grandchildren Chloe London and Thomas Budreau, Jr. Loving sister to the late Edward Preble, killed in WWII. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 7:30 PM. Visiting hours Thursday 4 – 7:30 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Friday. Donations in memory of Beatrice “Betty” Budreau may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368. Betty grew up in Everett and was a resident in Winthrop and Quincy later on in life. In her younger years, she enjoyed ice skating and dancing. Betty was always an avid reader and liked reading about murder mysteries and crime stories. While residing in Winthrop, she volunteered at the Senior Center making ceramics. Betty had a great sense of humor, was a strong woman and a devoted mother. She was always able to make other people feel good. Betty was most proud of her family!
