Beatrice “Ann” Mccabe

Beatrice “Ann” (Gillespie) McCabe, of Weymouth, formerly of Allston, died May 25, 2021 at the age of 79. Ann loved to travel with her beloved husband Chuck, whether a ride to Rhode Island for a cup of coffee, a drive by Nantasket Beach and the old family cottage in Hull, or a 2 week trip to Las Vegas. She also appreciated and loved the beauty of the many U.S. National State Parks they visited.

Ann was employed for many years at APA Transportation Co. in Canton.

She was happiest when surrounded by music and those she loved. Ann was kind, generous, loving, and had a great sense of humor, and will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Charles McCabe. Devoted mother of Lori Cellucci and her husband Jim of Bridgewater, Gerry McCabe and his wife Carol of Canton, Kathleen McCabe of NH and Andrew McCabe of Weymouth. Cherished Nana of Brian, Zachery and Jeremy. Loving sister of the late Noreen Gillespie. Dear sister-in-law of Patricia and Frank Clifford of FL, Tom and Norma McCabe of Randolph, Eileen and the late Bill Rowan of Abington, John and Carol McCabe of WA and the late Edward McCabe of Wrentham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family on Tuesday, June 1st, between 10 am – Noon at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main Street (Route 18), South Weymouth (across from the South Shore Hospital). A brief, light hearted, music filled Service will start at noon at the funeral home. Reception immediately following.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Royal Nursing Home of Norwell for their dedicated care and attention for Ann over the last 6 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ann’s memory to Fidelis Hospice, 25 Railroad Square, Haverhill MA 01832, who’s genuine compassion, caring and support for Ann and her family truly helped ease this difficult transition.
