Barry M. Wong 11/21/2021
Born in Quincy Barry grew up in North Weymouth and subsequently spent time in California before moving back home to Marina Bay with his parents. He was a great companion for his father, Barry J., after the loss of his Mother, Anne Wong.
Barry held various jobs without the benefit of owning a car. He was a man of few words and modest means. He was always upbeat and had a smile for everyone.
His two favorite hobbies were fishing at Whitman’s Pond and playing chess for fun or competition.
His transportation of choice was the MBTA bus where he took full advantage of his Charlie Card. He loved to ride his bike all over town in good weather sometimes hauling a wagon attachment for groceries.
He was a generous Uncle always interested in what’s new with his nieces and nephews. It gave him great joy to give them Lucky Red Envelopes” during birthdays, holidays and Chinese New Year.
He was a loving brother who loved to joke and make you laugh. Barry is survived by his two sisters, Mary Stracuzzi of Plymouth and Patricia Linden of Weymouth, his two brothers in law, Peter Stracuzzi and Stuart Linden, and seven nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and grand nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barry may be made to The MaryKnoll Sisters, P.O. Box 317, MaryKnoll, NY. 10545-9914.
