Barry M. Keefe

Barry M. Keefe of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2023. He was 65 years old.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Charles and Lorraine Keefe.  Barry was a 1976 graduate of Weymouth High School and a 1980 graduate of Norwich University and co-captain of the 1980 football team that was inducted into the Norwich Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005. He went on to have a career in corrections, retiring as Assistant Superintendent of Norfolk County Sherif’s Department. He had many interests including golfing, skiing, and vacationing, especially on Nantucket and St. John, USVI. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his three grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Joan Keefe (Alukonis) of Weymouth. Cherished father of Daniel Keefe of Weymouth, Andrew Keefe and his wife Sonia of Acton and Connor Keefe and his wife Kelly of Hanover. Loving grandfather to Patty, John and Charlie. Dear brother of Brian Keefe and his wife Lisa of Weymouth. Brother-in-law of Judy Alukonis of Weymouth, Richard Alukonis of Marshfield and Karen Dailey and her husband Len of Hollis, NH. He will also be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital), Weymouth.
