Barry J. Wood

Barry J. Wood,  age 53, passed away on April 9th, 2024 from Covid after battling cancer. Barry is the son of the late Barry C Wood and Gail (Shanahan) Wood.   Barry is survived by his daughter Melissa Wood of Rochester, NH and step daughter Amanda Murphy of Hingham, MA and his 2 grandchildren, Alana and Camdyn. Barry is also survived by 2 sisters Heather Wood and Pamela Oliver, many aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.

Barry had many friends but Lynne Hersey was especially close to him as he battled with cancer for many years.

Barry’s hometown was Weymouth and he was very civic minded. He had a love for public services mainly Police and Fire. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Weymouth.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday April 24, from  4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
